Two minutes from download to your first watch-only lock.

Security model

Exactly which keys, shortcuts and mouse events are blocked while locked, what isn't, how unlock works and what data VibeLock keeps →

1. Install

  • Purchase VibeLock and download the DMG from your Whop account.
  • Open the DMG and drag VibeLock into Applications.
  • Launch it — a lock icon appears in your menu bar. (If your menu bar is crowded on a notched MacBook, VibeLock will tell you if its icon ended up hidden and how to fix it.)

2. Grant Accessibility access (one time)

  • Click the lock icon → Lock. macOS will ask for Accessibility access — that's the permission input blocking requires. VibeLock needs nothing else: no network, no account, no files.
  • Grant it in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility, then click Lock again.

3. Choose your visible apps

  • Menu bar → Visible While Locked: checkmark what may stay on screen. Terminals (Terminal, iTerm2, Warp, Ghostty, kitty, Alacritty, WezTerm), Claude desktop, ChatGPT/Codex and VS Code are pre-allowed.
  • Visible means watch-only: the app stays on screen so you can follow it, but keystrokes, clicks and scrolls aimed at it are still blocked while locked.

4. Optional: accessible apps

  • Menu bar → Accessible While Locked: checkmark apps that may also be used while everything else stays locked. Keystrokes reach an accessible app when it's frontmost; clicks and scrolls work on its windows.
  • Marking an app accessible automatically makes it visible too. Unticking it from Visible removes it from Accessible.
  • Use it when a trusted colleague needs to approve an agent prompt at your desk, or to keep one notes/chat app usable in a pair session.
  • This list is empty by default, and watch-only is the safer setting: an accessible terminal means anyone at your keyboard has shell access. Even for accessible apps, ⌘Q stays blocked so nobody can quit your running agents, and Spotlight and Force Quit remain blocked system-wide.

5. Lock, walk away, unlock

  • Lock from the menu bar. Everything not allowed hides; input dies; the display stays awake.
  • Touch any key when you're back — Touch ID unlocks instantly, or type your Mac login password into the shield. Everything returns exactly as you left it.
  • Tip: enable Open at Login (on by default) so VibeLock is always one click away.
